John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee’s Satyameva Jayate is a vigilante drama and is all set to hit the screens on August 15 with Akshay Kumar‘s Gold. The tagline of Satyameva Jayate is – Beimaaan pitega, corruption mitega. The posters and the trailer has piqued the curiosity of the viewers to what the movie has to offer to in terms of fighting against the corruption. The music of any film is a backbone and here Taniskh Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Sajid-Wajid and Arko Pravo Mukherjee have joined hands in creating strong album for John’s movie. So hop on as we take you through this musical journey in our music review:

Dilbar

Do we really need any write up for this one! Well, Dilbar is already on the top of the music charts and why not! It’s peppy and and old Sushmita Sen song remixed into a popular number that always works. Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanusali’s rendition is modern and will sync well with the current generation. Yes, no one can take the essence of the original song sung by Alka Yagnik. If you are a music enthusiast, you would love how the musical arrangement has been done. You have electric guitar, electric drums and electric piano. It’s  Tanishk Bagchi’s magic all over!

Paniyon Sa

Chup hain baatein

Dil kaise bayaan main karoon

Tu hi kehde

Woh jo baat main keh na sakoon

Ki sang tere paniyon sa, paniyon sa

A romantic track is a must in a movie and Paniyon Sa fits in that genre. If you’re in a long distance relationship with one you love, this song will just take you to him or her (yes, day-dreaming). You will love listening this song on loop and may be can also be a perfect song for a long drive with the loved one.  Composed by Rochak Kohli and penned by Kumaar, Paniyon Sa has been sung by Atif Aslam and Tulsi Kumar. Rochak Kohli has composed the song. The musical instruments like piano, guitar, tabla, mandolinv, violin and ukulele add to the romantic quotient for the song. For me, romance is already in the air, even on a working Saturday. What about you!

Tere Jaisa

The next in line is Tere Jaisa. The song is like a message from lovelorn who wishes to meet her or his love – Main jahaan jahaan gaya wahaan, basar fizool tha, Bas ek teri unhi nigaahon ko hamesha dhoondhta, Mere raat ki subah! Arko and Tulsi Kumar’s vocals take this song to some other level and you can’t help but praise them for their unique talent. For a classical music buff, this song has a mix of instruments like shenaayi, harmonium, tabla and guitar.

Tajdar-E-Haram

Sajid Wajid have done a commendable with Tajdar-E-Haram. It has all the emotions – anger, power, loss and hope. Wajid’s vocals have done wonders for Tajdar-E-Haram. It has sufi touch and it’s so powerful that the lyric will hit you once for sure. It’s not an usual Bollywood song, but will slowly grow on you. It’s prayer to God to change all bad omens around to positive vibes.

Verdit: Taniskh Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Sajid-Wajid and Arko Pravo Mukherjee have done a commendable job in giving John’s film a much needed jukebox. We give it a 70 out of 100 on Pinkvilla meter.
